A man was shot to death in his car Tuesday in a Santa Ana intersection in what police described as a gang-related attack.
Neither the victim’s name nor his hometown was released.
According to Sgt. Carlos Rojas, a spokesman for the Santa Ana Police Department, the shooting occurred about 6:20 p.m. when the man, said to be in his 20s, was driving south on Sullivan Street and stopped for a stop sign at Willits Street.
As he started through the intersection, Rojas said, at least seven other men approached the car and a shot was fired, hitting the driver in the head.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Rojas said that no suspects had been identified and that the investigation into the shooting was continuing.
