All Options Are Open in Search for 9-Year-Old

The homicide sergeant who has taken over responsibility for the search for David Gonzales, 9, of Lake Elsinore, said he cannot rule out the possibility that the boy walked into the San Bernardino mountains on his own or was abducted by an adult or attacked by an animal.
Sgt. Bobby Dean of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department was put in charge after the department scaled back its search Sunday that dated to the boy’s July 31 disappearance. Dean said a lack of clues has made the case “tedious.”
