Candidate Keyes

So Alan Keyes from Maryland will run as the Republican candidate from Illinois (Aug. 9). Keyes previously criticized Sen. Hillary Clinton for moving to New York to run for the Senate, and when asked last week how he felt about making a Senate run from a state he had never lived in, he stated, “As a matter of principle, I don’t think it’s a good idea.” He also did not seem to mind the fact that Vice President Dick Cheney moved from Texas to Wyoming to run as Bush’s vice president. I guess “matters of principle” are not on the Republican platform.
