Sweetwater Nightclub Plans to Stay Put

Owners of the Sweetwater will keep the funky little nightclub in downtown Mill Valley open after all.
Becky Steere said she and her husband, Thom, had recently signed a lease that allows them to continue operating the nationally known nightclub through 2005.
The couple believed they might have to close the business after rent and liability costs rose.
Fabio Aversa, a member of the family that owns the Sweetwater building, said the Steeres wanted a few months to look for another space, but decided recently they wanted to stay at the current location.
