A pedestrian killed when one of two cars in a collision struck her and another woman Wednesday on Olympic Boulevard, has been identified as Rona Mink Smith, 61, of Beverly Hills.
Another pedestrian, Evalyn Rodin, 62, also of Beverly Hills, remained in critical condition at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, said Beverly Hills Police Lt. Albert J. Munoz-Flores. Investigators are reviewing the film from red light cameras to determine what caused the accident, he said.
A sport utility vehicle was westbound on Olympic at Spalding Drive when it struck a car that was making a left-hand turn, said Lt. Ed Kreins. The utility vehicle overturned, striking Smith and Rodin as they stood on a curb, he said.
