Bicyclist Hits Curb, Is Impaled on Fence

A cyclist riding downhill Friday in Canyon Country lost control of his bicycle, hit a curb and was impaled on a wrought iron fence.
In addition to a chest puncture, Nicholas Robertson, 26, suffered a fractured right arm and cut left arm and knee.
After a nearby resident called 911, Robertson was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, where he remains in serious condition, authorities said.
