County Official to Head Water Board

Longtime resident Eric Jessen, a manager in the county’s Department of Harbors, Beaches and Parks, has been named president of the South County Water District Board of Directors.
The water district provides water and sewer service to South Laguna and portions of Dana Point and Laguna Niguel.
In addition to Jessen’s appointment, the board also elected Cal Nelson of Laguna Beach as vice president and Dana Point resident Robert Moore as treasurer of the water district.
Jessen replaces Susan Hinman of Dana Point as board president. Hinman, a Dana Point resident who had served as president for two years, will remain on the board of directors.
