The Sheriff’s Department made a plea for information Friday about a hit-and-run accident that left a 26-year-old Stanton pedestrian with serious injuries late Thursday.
Jose de Jesus Anguiano-Tavera was struck about 10 p.m. Thursday in a northbound lane of Beach Boulevard, between Katella and Orangewood avenues, Lt. Tom Garner said.
Anguiano-Tavera was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center with head and pelvic injuries.
Witnesses described the vehicle as a red or other dark-colored four-door U.S.-made sedan, similar to a Buick. The car’s front grill was damaged and the hood and windshield may also be damaged
Investigators are asking anyone who may have information about the vehicle, or who witnessed the accident, to call Deputy William Funk at (714) 249-5212 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, or the watch commander at any other time at (714) 834-6490.
