* Joe Novak was named president of licensing at Cherokee Inc. Previously, Novak was vice president of sales and marketing for Union Bay Sportswear.
Cherokee is a Sunland apparel producer.
* Michael Carlisle was named senior loan officer at Glendale Federal Bank’s Encino loan office. Previously, Carlisle was assistant manager in the real estate division of Long Beach Bank.
* All Post Inc., a videotape post-production facility in Burbank, has created two new positions to help the company reach its goal of expanding sales beyond the United States.
John Knowles has been named vice president of worldwide sales and marketing, a position with a greater emphasis on international markets than his former position as vice president of sales and marketing.
Larry Birstock will become vice president of international post-production sales. Birstock, formerly with Hollywood Digital and Sunset Post, will be responsible for finding new customers in Europe and Asia, and will answer to Knowles, the company said.
