I sympathize with fellow Dodger fans who are blaming Darryl Strawberry for much of the team’s slow start this season. However, let’s not forget who invited Darryl to the party.
Fred Claire is responsible for some of the most inept development of player personnel in recent history. The acquisition of Brett Butler is the only decent thing he has done since taking over for Al Campanis.
Peter O’Malley needs to get a real baseball person in the front office if the Dodgers hope to be contenders again.
