Key Movie Posters: The creepy and kooky free-standing poster for “The Addams Family” that was on display in theater lobbies when the movie came out won the top honor Saturday at the Hollywood Reporter’s 21st annual Key Art Awards, which recognize achievement in print and electronic movie advertising art. The movie poster for Warner Bros.’ “Batman Returns,” a silhouette of Batman with the simple statement “Returns June 19,” and Disney’s poster for “Beauty and the Beast,” which shows Beauty dancing with the Beast, tied in the English-language poster competition category. A lifetime achievement award went to Robert Peak, creator of posters for films including “Camelot,” “My Fair Lady” and “Reds.” Tony Curtis hosted the ceremony at the Directors Guild of America; Beau Bridges will host a special called “The Art of Movies: Inside the Key Art Awards” on cable’s E! Entertainment Television on July 4 (the show will be repeated throughout the month of July).
