* Robert B. Young Jr., president of the Lockheed Engineering & Sciences Co., a Houston-based unit of Lockheed Corp., will succeed Donald C. Jones as president of the corporation’s Technology Services Group on July 1.
The Technology Services Group includes LESC and five other companies, and in 1991 accounted for about $1.6 billion of Lockheed’s $9.8 billion in sales.
Young, 57, joined Lockheed as a senior staff engineer in 1973 and has headed LESC since the company was established in 1979.
Richard P. Parten, 56, LESC executive vice president, will succeed Young as LESC president and will become a corporate vice president. Parten came to the Calabasas-based aerospace firm 1985 from Ford Aerospace following an earlier 21-year career with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
Jones, 63, announced earlier this year his intention to retire on July 1, following a 33-year career at Lockheed.
