Robert B. Young Jr. was named president of Lockheed Corp.’s Technology Services Group, effective July 1.
Young formerly was president of Lockheed Engineering & Sciences Co. (LESC) in Houston, one of six units that make up the Technology Services Group. The group accounted for 16% of Lockheed’s $9.8 billion in total revenue last year.
Richard P. Parten, LESC executive vice president, was named to succeed Young as the unit’s president.
Meanwhile, Calabasas-based Lockheed also established a new subsidiary, Lockheed Environmental Systems & Technologies Co., in Houston. The division will focus on the environmental services market and be headed by William J. (John) Denson as president.
Lockheed also transferred its Lockheed Aircraft Service Co. division in Ontario to its Aeronautical Systems Group from the Technology Services Group. The division maintains and modifies commercial and military aircraft.
