John Clark Gable, off-road racer and son of . . . oh, what’s-his-name in that “Gone With the Wind” thing, will pick up where his dad left off: He’ll be going before the cameras for the first time this fall, the Hollywood Reporter reported Thursday. Gable, 1984’s rookie of the year in off-road racing, will drive his own truck in “Baja 1000,” which is currently being scripted by writer-producer Cy Chermak (“CHiPs”). The film will incorporate footage from the real Baja 1000, in which Gable will be driving. Shooting is scheduled to begin in November.
