Military deaths

The Defense Department last week identified the following American military personnel killed in Djibouti and Iraq:
Darrell L. Fernandez, 25, of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; specialist, Army. Fernandez was killed Jan. 31 when his vehicle overturned in Kirkuk, Iraq, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Carson, Colo.
Milton Eric Suggs, 51, of Lockport, La.; chief warrant officer, Army National Guard. Suggs died of noncombat- related injuries Jan. 30 at Camp Lemonier, a U.S. military installation, in the east African nation of Djibouti, where he was serving in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He was assigned to the 38th Operational Support Airlift Detachment in Hammond, La.
