Garden, then play, on California’s Central Coast
- Share via
By now, you may be familiar with Central Coast volunteer vacations. You volunteer to go on vacation? Well, yes.
As part of your trip, each day you will spend a few hours volunteering your time on various state park projects. Tasks include collecting seeds of endangered plants and removal of invasive vegetation, even caring for the remarkable gardens of Hearst Castle.
The volunteer vacations blend this work with recreational outings along the majestic Central Coast, such as nature walks and kayaking.
The three- and four-day packages start at $595, and pricing depends on your choice of hotel in San Luis Obispo.
Proceeds from this vacation program will be used to support Nature Corps’ student volunteers. A portion of the fee will be tax-deductible.
Here’s the schedule of upcoming tours:
Rockin’ Harvest Voluntour -- Nov. 1-3
Central Coast Surf Festival and Eco-Voluntour -- Nov. 7-10
