New York City: Snag a ‘cabin’ for $129 a night at Yotel New York

Yotel New York, which uses the term “cabins” instead of “rooms” at its Manhattan hotel, is offering rooms, uh, cabins for a limited time for $129 a night, a slim price for a night on the town.
The idea of a stripped-down budget hotel with electronic extras originated in London and has been up and running in New York City since 2011.
The deal: The compact Yotel at 570 10th Ave. offers a room for two — with a view, no less — for $129 a night plus tax. The deal is good for stays from now through March 10 and for July 4-Sept. 2, with some blackout dates. Use the code “Cyber” when making a reservation.
When: The offer is good until Tuesday.
Tested: I checked availability on random dates and found the sale rate available Jan. 23-26 and July 19-22. The premium-view cabin comes with a queen-sized bed. Flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, a laptop safe, and free muffins and coffee or tea come with the price of the room.
