Deal: $100 season passes at Yosemite’s ski area for National Park Service centennial

The National Park Service’s 100th birthday brings a present for skiers and snowboarders: For a limited time, season passes to the Yosemite Ski & Snowboard Area (formerly known as the Badger Pass Ski Area) cost $100.

The weeklong sale started Thursday, the day the agency celebrated its creation on Aug. 25, 1916. Passes are good for the 2016-17 season, which has an estimated opening date of Dec. 16, according to the ski area’s website.

The pass comes with extra perks too, such as a discounted lift ticket for a friend or relative, and 10% off restaurants inside the park.
