Ski Dazzle, L.A.’s annual pep rally for snow season, opens today at the Convention Center, offering four football fields’ worth of gear for enthusiasts feeling short-changed by the recent closing of dozens of sporting good stores across Southern California.
Good with gear? Well, the $20 show tickets can be exchanged for lift passes to six ski resorts, including Mountain High, Snow Summit and Bear Mountain.
The three-day event kicks off this afternoon and offers lift-ticket bargains and equipment savings. Other attractions include free beginner lessons, a 60-foot indoor ski ramp and a zip line.
Admission is $20; $5 for ages 6 to 12; 6 and under free. The free lift ticket offer does not apply to children’s admission, and other restrictions apply.
Show hours are 3 to 11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
