UCLA football: Is Jordan Lasley a sign of shift toward Westwood?

This could be a changing trend ... or an anomaly.
Gardena Serra High School has more or less been a training ground for future USC receivers.
Robert Woods begat Marqise Lee.
Lee begat George Farmer.
Farmer begat ...
... well, not Jordan Lasley.
Lasley committed to UCLA this weekend, ending the pipeline to USC (at least for the moment). He is a lanky 6-foot-2 receiver who runs a 4.4 40-yard dash.
“UCLA is my dream school,” Lasley said. “I used to want to go to USC.”
A change in the wind?
Lasley grew up a USC fan.
“I remember going to the Coliseum for games,” Lasley said. “I always pictured that is where I would go.”
The change in the past year. Lasley said that the UCLA “coaching staff turned that whole program around. They know how to develop players. UCLA is just as great a school as USC.”
An indication that UCLA Coach Jim Mora, who will be in his second season, has traction in areas previously considered USC territory?
