NFC notes: Which Vikings running back will step in for Adrian Peterson?

Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals haven’t turned the ball over and lead the NFL with seven takeaways. Arizona is riding a five-game winning streak on the road.

Atlanta Falcons: Julio Jones was taken out of the Falcons’ first two games because of injuries. He has 172 yards receiving with two scores.

Carolina Panthers: The Panthers have won 14 games in a row at home, including the playoffs. They’ve ave- raged 42 points per game in their last three games at Bank of America Stadium.

Chicago Bears: Quarterback Brian Hoyer probably will make his first start for the Bears, against Dallas, with Jay Cutler dealing with a thumb injury.

Dallas Cowboys: The Cowboys’ last win at home came in the 2015 season opener. Rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott was benched last week after fumbling twice.

Detroit Lions: The Lions’ victory at Lambeau Field last season ended a regular-season losing streak in Green Bay at 23 games. Detroit is 3-11 vs. Aaron Rodgers.

Green Bay Packers: The Packers beat the Lions in their last meeting on a 61-yard touchdown pass to tight end Richard Rodgers with no time left on a Thursday in Detroit.

Minnesota Vikings: Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata will share ball-carrying duties with Adrian Peterson out indefinitely because of torn knee cartilage.

New Orleans Saints: Monday’s game against the Falcons is the 10-year anniversary of the Saints’ return to the Superdome after Hurricane Katrina.

New York Giants: Receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was flagged for three fouls while battling former Panthers corner Josh Norman, now with the Washington.

Philadelphia Eagles: Rookie quarterback Carson Wentz is 12 for 14 passing for 102 yards with one touchdown and no turnovers on his two opening drives.

RAMS: Coach Jeff Fisher is 8-1 all-time against Tampa Bay. Case Keenum had a perfect passer-rating (158.0) against the Buccaneers last season.

San Francisco 49ers: Tight end Vance McDonald has two of the 49ers’ three touchdown passes. Blaine Gabbert has thrown a touchdown pass in 12 straight games.

Seattle Seahawks: Christine Michael is averaging five yards per carry. The Seahawks are one of nine teams without a rushing touchdown this season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Running back Doug Martin (hamstring) will sit out against the Rams, giving way to Charles Sims and Jacquizz Rodgers, who will split carries.

Washington Redskins: The Redskins have lost five of their last six games against the Giants. DeSean Jackson had a 63-yard touchdown grab last time vs. New York.
