Have we seen the last of Ed Davis in a Lakers uniform?

Ed Davis had a decent season with the Lakers, good enough to decline a player option for $1.1 million soon enough.
What isn’t known is whether he’ll price himself out of the Lakers’ range. Early signs point to yes.
“You know how free agency is. Things get a little weird,” Davis said Thursday. “So you never know.”
The reserve forward-center averaged 8.3 points and a career-high 7.6 rebounds this season, calling it a “solid year overall.”
But Davis, 25, was irritated when he was benched toward the end of the season despite being healthy.
“I don’t like it at all. I want to play as much as I can,” Davis said earlier this month. “My goal is to come in every year and play all 82 games. I’m not at a point in my career right now where I’m happy getting ‘DNP’s.”
On Thursday, Davis said he never really received an explanation from Lakers Coach Byron Scott.
“No, but that’s just how it goes,” Davis said.
On the other hand, Davis credited Scott for keeping the team from disintegrating internally despite the worst record in franchise history (21-61).
