Nike Basketball releases latest Kobe Bryant commercial

Nike Basketball released its latest Kobe Bryant commercial on Thursday, promoting the Kobe 8 System basketball shoe.
Already up to more than 300,000 views on YouTube, the spot boasts, “Best is ahead of better. The basket is ahead of the ball. Kobe is light years ahead of them all.”
It also describes Bryant’s diet of chicken, rice and broccoli, his work schedule starting at 3 in the morning and, naturally, his shoes, which are “like snakes.”
Bryant’s nickname is “Black Mamba,” a venomous African snake.
New to Twitter, Bryant sent out the message Thursday afternoon, “Check out the new Kobe 8 commercial and let me know what you think.”
Bryant joined the social network on Jan. 4. In two weeks he’s picked up more than 878,000 followers.
