The Ducks on Tuesday signed first-round draft pick Shea Theodore to a three-year entry-level contract.
The 18-year-old from British Columbia has an assist in three preseason games with the Ducks and led the team in ice time Sunday against Colorado, with 22:06.
Theodore notched 19 goals with 31 assists for Seattle of the Western Hockey League last season.
Theodore, picked 26th overall in the NHL draft, is due to earn $925,000 annually in the NHL and $70,000 on an American Hockey League roster during his contract, which runs through the 2015-16 season.
