Update: The Ducks play their first regular-season game at Honda Center, coming home after a split in Europe. Defenseman Toni Lydman, who missed all of training camp and the first two games, could make his season debut. He had shoulder surgery in May. Defenseman Kurtis Foster accepted a conditioning assignment in the minors and will play two games for Syracuse before returning to the Ducks. Not surprisingly, the Ducks have been working on their power play since returning home, having gone 0 of 11 in their opening two games. For the Sharks, Patrick Marleau was able to practice Thursday after missing most of the week because of the flu.
