Football: Mission Viejo dominates Tesoro, 37-7

Mission Viejo is in the driver’s seat in the South Coast League after routing rival Tesoro 37-7 in one of Friday night’s marquee matchups.
Ian Fieber threw for three touchdowns, Zach Olson booted three field goals and linebacker Steven Macke scored on a 100-yard interception return for the Diablos (8-0, 2-0), ranked fourth by The Times.
Sean Modster had four catches for 109 yards and two touchdowns, Alex Schuurs had five catches for 70 yards and one touchdown and Jordan Palomino added four catches for 32 yards as Mission Viejo built an insurmountable 20-0 halftime lead.
Devon Modster threw for 190 yards and one touchdown for Tesoro (6-2, 2-1), ranked 20th by The Times.
