De La Salle has used a few big runs and a turnover to build a 14-0 lead over Servite after one quarter of play at Santa Ana Stadium.
After John Velasco scored on a short run, the Spartans recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff and two plays later Velasco ran for another short touchdown less than three minutes into the game.
