Southern Section website suffered alleged hacker attack last month

During the Southern Section football playoffs last month, the section’s website had to be taken down because it was hacked, and the FBI was called in to investigate, Southern Section spokesman Thom Simmons said Wednesday.
Simmons said additional security measures were taken but there has been no word from the FBI as to who was responsible.
“The FBI is working on it,” Simmons said. “It’s the first time we’ve been hacked.”
Several inappropriate images were posted on the website during the attack.
