It will be the battle of unbeaten teams on Friday night when St. Francis (4-0) faces host Monrovia (4-0). And everyone wants to know what St. Francis will do to try to slow down running back Kurt Scoby.
Scoby, who was a standout at St. Paul and Charter Oak, has had games of 142, 287, 183 and 137 yards rushing this season.
Monrovia is ranked No. 1 in CalHiSports’ Southern California Division III bowl rankings.
St. Francis has been led by quarterback Ty Gangi. But versatile junior linebacker Matt Bayle is the one to watch when the Golden Knights try to make sure Scoby doesn’t run crazy.
