Football: Sherman Oaks Notre Dame loses QB Noah Taylor
- Share via
Junior Noah Taylor, one of the best athletes at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame and expected to start at quarterback this fall, won’t be able to play football because of a medical condition, Coach Kevin Rooney said on Monday.
Taylor, an all-league baseball player, is expected to be back for the baseball season. Taylor said he suffered a blood clot and will need surgery to fix a rib that has been affecting a vein.
Taylor’s absence creates an opening at quarterback, and two transfer students are likely to compete for the job.
They are junior Erik Zimmerman, a transfer from La Salle, and junior Adonis Brown, a transfer from Chandler, Ariz.
