The Southern Section Open Division basketball watch list will debut later today. But it doesn’t take much to figure out the possible 16 teams.
It starts with unbeaten Chino Hills. Then there’s Sierra Canyon, Bishop Montgomery and Mater Dei. Those four stand apart.
Then there’s Damien, Roosevelt, Corona Centennial, Alemany, Santa Margarita, Esperanza, Etiwanda, Crossroads, Oak Park and Redondo.
That’s 14. Long Beach Poly makes 15.
No. 16 is wide open. It could be Heritage Chrsitian, Los Altos, Edison, La Mirada, Cantwell-Sacred Heart, Windward, Village Christian, Harvard-Westlake, Oxnard.
