Boys’ basketball: Sun Valley Poly moves from Division III to Division II

Sun Valley Poly, which lost in the City Section Division III championship basketball game last season, has been granted its request to move to Division II this season.
The Parrots are expected to have a strong team, led by junior guard Cesar Reyes.
Here’s the Division II teams: Angelou, Bell, Belmont, Carson, Chatsworth, Contreras, Franklin, Garfield, Granada Hills, Kennedy, Maywood, Monroe, Poly, Reseda, RFK, Santee, South Gate, Sylmar, Van Nuys, Venice, Verdugo Hills, Wilson and Senior High School No. 2.
