There was top-level basketball being played day and night on Sunday at Chaminade as part of the Joseph Frazier Benefit Showcase.
The most intriguing game involved Sierra Canyon, because it was the debut for the Bagley brothers, 6-foot-11 junior Marvin Bagley III and 6-6 freshman Marcus Bagley.
Let’s just say the Trailblazers are feeling good.
Marvin, considered the No. 1 player in the nation for the class of 2018, had 20 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Cantwell-Sacred Heart. He wasn’t perfect but he was a man among boys.
Marcus made three three-pointers and showed off an impressive shooting touch.
Another top player on the day was Ryse Williams of Redondo. The Loyola Marymount commit had 31 points in a win over Crespi.
Juhwan Harris-Dyson had 24 points in Heritage Christian’s win over Crossroads.
