First place in the Western League baseball race will be on the line this week when Hamilton (18-2, 6-0) takes on Palisades (10-10, 5-10) in a two-game series. First up is Tuesday at Palisades followed by Thursday at Hamilton.
The Yankees have been led by All-City catcher Dalton Blumenfeld, who’s batting .614 (18 of 44) with six home runs.
Palisades, after stumbling in its league opener to Venice, has come on strong behind pitcher Jed Moscot, who has been striking out batters in bunches. The Moscot-Blumenfeld battle should be fun to watch.
