Baseball: Burroughs’ Thomas Wilson gets his day in the spotlight
- Share via
Thomas Wilson, an uncommitted 6-foot-4 pitcher for Burbank Burroughs, served notice on Tuesday that people might want to start paying attention to him.
He helped his team defeat Crescenta Valley and UCLA-bound Brian Gadsby, 1-0, in a Pacific League game.
“He pretty much matched him pitch for pitch,” Burroughs Coach Craig Sherwood said.
And that’s tough to do. Gadsby rarely loses.
Wilson is 4-0 with an 0.43 ERA this season for the Indians, who are 12-4 overall and 2-1 in league.
“I think he’d be a good pickup for someone,” Sherwood said.
