A 15-year-old local girl was jumped, kicked in the mouth and robbed by three older women in a Costa Mesa alley Sunday afternoon, police said.
About 5:30 p.m. the girl, who police would not identify because she’s the victim of a crime, was walking down an alley near her home on Sterling Avenue when three people approached her from behind and attacked her, said Sgt. Phil Myers.
Police said the three attackers were described as women between 25 and 30 years old. The group took the girl’s iPod and cut her lip.
The girl’s cut was treated at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian shortly after, authorities said.
