The Marian Bergeson Aquatic Center at Corona del Mar High School is closed today because of a power outage.
A large transformer that provides power to the center shut down yesterday, affecting the pool pump at the aquatics center, said Adam Leu, a Newport Beach recreation supervisor.
City-sponsored swim classes have been moved to Newport Harbor High School, 600 Irvine Ave., for the day while workers fix the problem.
The center should be open again Thursday and swim classes will resume their normal schedule, Leu said.
