HONOLULU, Hawaii — The Anteaters absorbed their first loss of the season Sunday in the finale of the four-game nonconfernece series at Lee Murakami Stadium.

Eric Deragisch, Jeff Cusick, Francis Larson and Ryan Fisher had RBIs for the Anteaters (3-1).

Sophomore pitcher Nick Hoover allowed five earned runs and four hits in 2 1/3 innings to take the loss in his UCI debut.

CORONA DEL MAR — Caitlin Haskell scored three goals to lead the Anteaters in the consolation game of the UC Irvine Invitational Sunday.

Morgan Vickers had a career-high 10 saves for UCI.

TENNIS

The UC Irvine men beat visiting Utah, 6-1, Sunday, and the UCI women won at UC Santa Barbara, 6-1, in Big West Conference play Sunday.
