The story, a 1936 orchestral fairy tale by Sergei Prokofiev, follows the boy Peter, who ignores his grandfather and successfully goes out to capture a wolf, with the help of a friendly bird, an excitable duck and some hunters; a sneaky cat tries to hunt the birds.
The story introduces children to instruments like the oboe and bassoon.
Tickets are $4 per person; for more information, call (714) 375-5107.
