LOS ANGELES — Jon Steller came off the bench to record 14 kills and led the No. 2-ranked Anteaters to a 30-25, 23-30, 30-25, 37-29, 15-11 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation win over the No.-5-ranked Trojans Wednesday night at the Galen Center.

Taylor Wilson had 19 kills and six blocks, while Carson Clark added 13 kills and six digs for UCI (12-2, 8-1 in the MPSF).

In Game 2, pitcher Kelsey Gunneman went the distance and improved to 1-1.

In Game 1, Vanguard allowed Simpson to scored four runs in the top of the seventh to come from behind and win.
