POLICE FILES: Woman was huffing computer cleaner, report says

A woman was seen slumped over a steering wheel and honking her horn at an undisclosed location, spraying something in her face, at 8:19 p.m. Saturday. It was discovered that the woman was huffing computer cleaner. The woman was treated and arrested.
AREA 1
Warner Avenue: A man asked police to talk to his stepson, who allegedly steals money from his mother’s purse and has a drug problem, on the 6500 block at 10:13 a.m. Sunday.
Warner Avenue: It was discovered that someone entered a vacant apartment and turned on all the faucets, creating a flood of water several inches deep, on the 4600 block at 10:16 a.m. Sunday. The water damaged neighboring units.
Center Avenue: A man was seen breaking into someone’s locker at a fitness center on the 7700 block at 2:24 p.m. Sunday. The man escaped without being apprehended.
Warner Avenue: Someone said they saw a man slap at a woman; when questioned, the suspect allegedly pulled a gun on the caller at a church on the 7600 block at 8:55 p.m. Sunday. Police were unable to locate the suspect.
Edinger Avenue at Springdale Street: Someone said their grandson’s thumb was broken when he was jumped by children who tried to take his backpack the previous day at 10:33 a.m. Saturday.
Pacific Coast Highway: A caller said they searched the county sheriff’s website and found that a neighbor who constantly drinks and drives, and urinates all over the property, had an outstanding warrant on the 16800 block at 11:38 a.m. Saturday. Police apprehended the man.
Warner Avenue: Police apprehended suspects who stole a mobile phone from a caller’s hand when they ran by on the 6400 block at 3:56 p.m. Saturday.
AREA 2
Ringo Circle: A woman reported she had a fight with her 13-year-old daughter, then found two male juveniles hiding in the girl’s closet; the girl then left with the boys, but returned later, on the 6400 block at 12:41 p.m. Sunday.
Huntington Lake: A caller said people intentionally were hitting ducks in the lake with their motorized boats at 3:28 p.m. Sunday.
Beach Boulevard at Ellis Avenue: A woman left her car unlocked when she went into a restaurant; when she came back, her purse was missing on the 3:34 p.m. Sunday.
Main Street at Beach Boulevard: Several callers reported that a vehicle struck a pedestrian at 4:39 p.m. Sunday. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Beach Boulevard: A man was seen waving a knife at another man in front of a restaurant on the 18300 block at 10:10 p.m. Sunday.
Cypress Avenue: A resident said their garage door was spray-painted overnight on the 7800 block at 7:22 a.m. Saturday.
AREA 3
Adams Avenue at Huntington Street: A man was hit by a thrown beer can at a “white trash”-themed party at 1:16 a.m. Sunday. The man who threw the can was booked for assault with a deadly weapon.
Pacific Coast Highway: The driver of a Ford Ranger departed a gas station with the gas nozzle still in his gas tank, damaging the fuel hose, on the 700 block at 12:48 p.m. Sunday.
Florida Street: A woman said a homeless man who is a friend of her daughter was riding with her daughter when he poured his drink on her and hit her with a roll of tin foil in the face on the 1800 block at 5:22 p.m. Sunday.
Delaware Street: Someone said they saw a group of juveniles putting things in vehicle tailpipes and under wheel wells on the 2300 block at 5:26 p.m. Sunday.
19th Street: A Toyota Prius owner said their windows were found broken; they also said someone spit on the driver’s side door the previous week on the 400 block at 9:58 a.m. Saturday.
Foxboro Circle: A caller said a contractor they hired threatened to break things if they didn’t get paid on the 7000 block at 10:35 a.m. Saturday.
AREA 4
Lexington Lane: A man’s truck was vandalized on the 19900 block at 2:15 a.m. Sunday.
Warburton Drive: A caller complained about a 10-year-old riding through the park on a mini bike; police told the child and his babysitter that it was illegal on the 9600 block at 7:17 p.m. Sunday.
Adams Avenue: A group of kids were seen fighting on the 9600 block at 10:26 p.m. Sunday.
Brookhurst Street at Garfield Avenue: A caller said two pit bulls tried to attack him on a nearby frontage road at 8:24 a.m. Saturday.
AREA 5
Santa Maria Street: Police were called to keep the peace at a residence on the 17500 block at 4:41 p.m. Sunday.
Magnolia Street: A vehicle burglary was reported from a church on the 17400 block at 12:20 p.m. Sunday.
AREA 6
Daisy Avenue: A vehicle burglary was reported on the 16700 block at 6:42 a.m. Sunday.
Dandelion Avenue: A vehicle burglary was reported on the 9800 block at 7:36 a.m. Sunday.
Maza Circle: A vehicle burglary was reported on the 9000 bock at 10:11 a.m. Sunday.
