Bicyclist hit and killed by SUV in Huntington Beach

A bicyclist was struck and killed by an SUV in Huntington Beach on Wednesday night, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.
The crash occurred near Yorktown Avenue and Vasile Circle at about 8 p.m., police Sgt. Eric Warken said.
Officers arrived and found a man unresponsive on the street. He suffered major internal injuries and was pronounced dead, Warken said. His name was not immediately disclosed.
A 2016 Honda Pilot with front-end damage was parked near the crash site, and the 46-year-old driver from Huntington Beach stayed at the scene, Warken said. The driver was not injured.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
