Re “Democrats are missing magic of ‘08,” Sept. 4
The Democratic jubilation of 2008 was the product of the rejection of the Republican leadership and ideology and the wishful thinking that Democratic leadership and ideology would have magical powers.
For four years we have been shown there is no magic; that political, social and economic change take work and time.
It took about 10 years to foul up the banking system and the economy; it will take at least four more years of work to fix them — and a little collaboration could help.
