Letters: No sympathy for Church lawyers

Re “Church must restore names in files,” Jan. 8
J. Michael Hennigan, attorney for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles, said that restoring the names of church officials who mishandled sex abuse allegations to 30,000 pages of records may require lawyers to revisit every page, which could take months.
The victims of these priests have had their lives changed forever. I think the public is willing to wait, patiently, for these corrected records. No one feels sorry for the church’s lawyers who must deal with this inconvenience.
