Amazon is buying Whole Foods in a deal valued at about $13.7 billion, a move that will expand the online juggernaut’s growing reach into groceries. Amazon.com will pay $42 per share for Whole Foods Market, including debt, an 18 percent premium to Whole Foods’ closing price on June 15, 2017.
