A 40-year-old man died Friday in what Anaheim detectives suspect was a gang shooting.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired at 4:11 a.m. in the 600 block of East Eton Place, said Sgt. Bob Dunn of the Anaheim Police Department. He suffered at least one gunshot wound, they said.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he died of his wound at 11:45 a.m., Dunn said. Tentative identification indicates he was a member of a Southern California gang.
“But it’s not a gang from around here,” Dunn said.
Anaheim police are asking that anyone with information to call (855) TIP-OCCS or visit www.occrimestoppers.org.
