A 51-year-old man who went missing during a scuba diving class earlier this week and later died was identified Saturday.
Mark Gibbs, of Tustin, was part of a group of people taking a class Friday morning when he went missing off the 100 block of Cliff Drive in Laguna Beach. Authorities found Gibbs several hours later and took him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy will be performed early next week, Orange County Coroner officials said.
