Four people were killed early Sunday in a head-on collision on the 210 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley.
The crash occurred about 1:45 a.m. shortly after California Highway Patrol officials received calls of a wrong-way driver in the eastbound lanes of the freeway.
Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department said three people died at the scene and the fourth died at a hospital.
KABC-TV reports the wrong-way driver is among the dead. Investigators are looking into whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
Traffic is moving again in the eastbound lanes of the freeway, which were closed immediately after the crash.
