Sheriff’s detectives in Carson are trying to determine whether remains found Saturday morning are those of a human.
The discovery was made about 8 a.m. near the 24500 block of South Figueroa Street, an industrial area near the 110 Freeway, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
If the remains are determined to be human, the coroner’s office will determine the age, sex and identity at a later date.
Anyone with information about the remains is encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
