Getting between the Westside and the San Fernando Valley on Saturday night and Sunday morning is going to be a problem.
The 405 Freeway at the Sepulveda Pass will be briefly closed over the weekend while construction crews pour concrete and pave two major bridges spanning the major thoroughfare.
Crews will begin closing lanes on the southbound 405 from Valley Vista Boulevard to Skirball Center Drive at 10 p.m. Saturday, with a full closure expected from 1 to 4:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the L.A. County Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
Closure of northbound lanes will begin at 10 p.m. Saturday with full closure from Getty Center Drive to the Skirball onramp from 3 to 6 a.m. Sunday.
The Mulholland bridge was closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday. That schedule will be repeated Saturday and Sunday nights. The Skirball bridge will also be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Saturday-Sunday and Sunday-Monday, the MTA said.
